Welcome to the YBPN Newsletter!!

Welcome to the Young Black Professional Network Newsletter (YBPNN)!

The Young Black Professionals Network(YBPN) was founded with the goal of starting meaningful conversations and providing actionable insights on what it takes for minorities to succeed in the United States.

Early in our careers, we observed that many underserved communities—especially  first-generation Americans, immigrants, and African Americans—struggle with similar challenges: navigating the corporate world, building financial literacy without generational know-how, keeping pace with rapidly evolving technology, managing workplace expectations, and establishing networks in spaces where representation remains limited.

Unlike many who benefit from inherited guidance, underserved communities often piece together their career/financial roadmaps alone. YBPN bridges this gap by delivering relevant, empowering, and practical information that directly impacts your professional growth. Through this network, we foster a community of collaboration and success—ensuring no one navigates the system without proper tools.

Meet the Founders

This initiative is led by college friends Jarry Ngandjui and Charlier Paul.

Jarry Ngandjui was born in Cameroon and became a U.S. citizen at the age of 10. He holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science and mathematics from the University of Massachusetts Boston. Currently, he works as a software engineer, bringing experience from a Fortune 100 company and now embracing the challenges of a tech startup.

Charlier Paul was born in Haiti and immigrated to the U.S. at age 11. He earned a degree in industrial engineering from Clemson University and is currently pursuing an MBA in global business and finance. Charlier works as a consultant in the retail software industry.
